Educational Scholarship

The Soar with K.A.T.I.E. (Karing Actions Towards Inspiring Eagles) Scholarship is in honor of my aunt, Ms. Katie Mae Rivers Tindal, who was a true and dedicated trailblazing advocate to the Social Work Profession. Ms. Katie Mae Rivers Tindal transitioned on December 25, 1996 in Savannah, Georgia due to an aneurysm, and it is my ultimate goal as her niece to keep her legacy alive by providing this scholarship each year. Therefore, the recipient(s) will be awarded to Bachelor’s level student depending on the availability of funds who has maintained a 2.8 GPA or higher, been accepted, and will actually attend a college/university to obtain an MSW (Masters of Social Work) degree.
